SELF LOVE

I have always been confused by the concept of not loving yourself. As humans we all have insecurities, whether it’s in relation to our physical appearance, our capabilities or the way in which we are perceived by the world but, through all this, we have to always remember that the goal is to be happy and that our beings are built to mould and take whatever form we need it to in order to achieve that goal.

From a very young age I understood that this was me and this was the only body I had so I had no choice but to embrace it and make the best of it. So many people in this day and age are so intent on being or looking like someone else that they go as far as undertaking risky surgeries and creating personas on social media in order to portray a fictitious life while still being deeply unhappy within themselves. It truly breaks my heart. The truth is that no matter how hard you try, you will always only be 'you' so why waste time and energy trying to emulate another instead of creating the best 'you' possible?

Life is so incredibly hard and cruel, the last thing you need is to join forces with it and make your life even more difficult. Most goals take a long time and a lot of hard work to obtain but what else are you doing?! Isn't that the whole point of being alive?! The time will pass regardless so you might as well spend it making yourself happy in whatever way works for you.

Everyone in life has role to play so just do yours well and find joy in being yourself - trust me, that’s true freedom.

Be your own your own goal and keep your happiness and peace of mind at the root of all you do.

Not Rude, Honest
