Being a woman is one of the toughest jobs on Earth and our very being is often used as a tool to oppress us. We have come a long way but there is still such a long way to go to ensure that women everywhere are treated fairly and protected from dangers exclusive to their gender.
I saw this picture on the official Barbie Instagram page and I immediately felt pride. As women, we are capable of doing whatever we set our minds to and although we unfairly face more obstacles than our male counterparts, we must keep going so that one day our excellence will not be so heavily sabotaged. In the words of the great Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, "We should all be feminists."
